During the conversation, Olympic experiences, as well as the role filled by sport in the international system of relations, will be presented.
14:00–15:00 – Roundtable discussion: The present and future of maritime VHF radio operator education – Discussion about restricted GMDSS operator education (requirements, responsibility and practice) (Program Island)
Why is GMDSS short-range radio operator education important? What is SRC knowledge worth in practice?
During the discussion, it will be revealed how the four schools teach, on which professional principles they build the training, and where the focus is at each of them. The possibilities and limitations of online education will also be a topic, because the world is heading in this direction… The participants will furthermore talk about the challenges and experiences of SRC training. In addition, there will also be time for storytelling, because the most can be learned from real-life cases (and case studies).
